We are looking for a Fullstack Developer who feels comfortable working across both backend and frontend and can view the application as a cohesive whole. This role is for someone who wants to have a real impact on system design, architecture, and technical quality.
You will work on the development and modernization of a production-grade web application, built with long-term scalability and maintainability in mind.
You will be a good fit for this role if you:
- have at least 3 years of experience as a Fullstack Developer,
- have strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript,
- have hands-on experience with Node.js and React,
- have worked with Next.js and NestJS,
- are comfortable using Next.js backend features (API Routes, Server Actions),
- have experience working with databases (e.g. MS SQL Server),
- understand authentication mechanisms (sessions, cookies, tokens),
- have worked on performance optimization (caching, Redis, CDN),
- use Git daily and follow good version control practices,
- have basic knowledge of DevOps practices and deploying Next.js applications,
- are comfortable working in English and Polish (minimum B2).
Project description:
You will join a newly formed team focused on modernizing and rewriting an existing application into a more technologically advanced solution. The project operates in the early childhood education management domain and aims to deliver a modern, high-performance, and scalable platform.
The system is developed iteratively, with a strong emphasis on code quality, stability, and clear architecture. We work in Scrum, encouraging close collaboration and giving engineers real influence over technical decisions.
What you will be working on
- Designing and developing the Node.js backend, including business logic and APIs
- Building scalable web applications using Next.js, covering both frontend and backend responsibilities
- Developing REST APIs, including:
- Next.js API Routes,
- NestJS as a backend framework
- Using Next.js Server Actions to optimize data handling and application performance
- Integrating frontend, backend, and databases
- Implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms
- Optimizing the application for performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other Developers
- Troubleshooting backend issues and ensuring system quality and stability
