As an Automation Software Tester, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests that support safe, predictable, and high-quality delivery of complex applications.
We are looking for someone who treats testing as a first-class engineering discipline, closely connected with application architecture, system behavior, and real production usage — not just a final verification step.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust automated test suites using Playwright + TypeScript (Page Object Model).
- Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies and work closely with developers, product owners, and other engineers on a daily basis.
- Support application modernization and partial rewrites by:
- validating new architectural approaches,
- identifying risks early,
- proposing improvements to testability, reliability, and UX/UI.
- Test both frontend and backend components, including:
- UI workflows,
- REST APIs,
- integrations between services
- performance testing
- Perform hands-on debugging and troubleshooting of failing tests and application issues:
- analyze test failures,
- correlate them with application behavior, logs, and system changes,
- help identify root causes rather than masking symptoms.
- Execute and maintain tests within CI/CD pipelines, ensuring fast feedback and stable delivery.
- Perform performance and reliability testing, identify bottlenecks, and support teams in understanding system limitations.
- Contribute to improving overall test strategy, quality standards, and engineering maturity of the product.
Requirements
- Commercial experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in test automation and performance testing (Playwright required).
- Strong understanding of Page Object Model and maintainable test design.
- Experience testing complex applications, not only isolated UI flows.
- Hands-on experience with:
- REST API testing,
- performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust, k6).
- Ability to analyze application behavior and debug issues across frontend and backend layers.
- Good understanding of Docker and containerized environments.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent English (B2+).
Nice to Have
- Experience troubleshooting flaky tests and unstable environments.
- Understanding of application architecture and data flows.
- Experience working on systems undergoing modernization or partial rewrites.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logs, or basic observability concepts.
- Experience in regulated, high-availability, or business-critical systems.
