AWS Cloud Engineer / Cloud Ops

We are currently looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join projects combining AWS technologies with GenAI-based solutions.

This is definitely a hands-on role. We are looking for someone who can not only design architecture, but also independently build infrastructure, write code, dive into an existing system, and identify the root cause of an issue.

You will work closely with clients — from the first conversations about business needs, through solution design, development, and deployment, to maintenance and further system development.

You will feel at home in this role if:

• you have at least 5 years of experience working with cloud, infrastructure, or system architecture
• you have strong, practical knowledge of AWS, in particular: ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, VPC, and CloudWatch
• you have solid experience with Terraform and can build infrastructure as code independently from scratch
• you are comfortable working with Python — writing scripts, Lambdas, and production code
• you know Docker and have worked with container orchestration using ECS and/or EKS
• you have experience with REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture
• you can troubleshoot issues across multiple layers — from application logs and infrastructure metrics to distributed tracing
• you have worked with observability tools such as CloudWatch, OpenSearch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar
• you have experience building or improving CI/CD pipelines
• you communicate confidently in both Polish and English at B2 level or higher

And:

• you look at architecture not only from a technology perspective, but also through the lens of security, cost, and maintainability
• you are comfortable going deep into an existing system to find the root cause of a problem
• you can talk to a developer about tracing or performance, and to a client about business needs
• you are proactive and take ownership — when you see a problem, you look for a solution instead of waiting for detailed instructions
• you enjoy working in a role that combines cloud engineering, programming, architecture, and direct collaboration with clients

It would be a plus if you have:

• experience with GenAI projects, e.g. LLMs, RAG, AI agents, or vector databases
• experience with AWS Bedrock or SageMaker
• practical knowledge of RAG — from data indexing and choosing a vector database to evaluating answer quality
• experience with vector databases such as pgvector, OpenSearch, or Pinecone
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification
• other AWS certifications, e.g. DevOps Engineer, Security, or SysOps
• experience with high-availability systems or regulated environments
• experience with distributed tracing tools such as OpenTelemetry or AWS X-Ray
